The story of Evie and Thomas’ friendship during WWI told through a series of letters. Thomas is enlisted and dealing with the gruesome realities of war. Evie wants to do her part as well. At the end of Thomas’ life he returns to Paris, where he, Evie, and their friends had planned to spend Christmas in 1914 in hopes that the war would be over, to discover one last letter waiting for him.
