Seven Christmas movies to watch this season

I love the holiday season! It’s so cozy, and there are so many traditions to uphold! So, come November I begin thinking that it’s time to start watching Christmas movies. I like to not overwhelm my Grinch of a husband with too much Christmas cheer which means sneaking movies in when he’s not around or only forcing him to watch them on occasion. This means I need a well thought out movie watching schedule during the months of November and December.

Here are my favorites:

My all time favorite Christmas movie which my husband argues is not really a Christmas movie. That’s fine by me… I like to watch it in July too! OMG… Bing Crosby!

Buddy the Elf. What’s your favorite color?

I love 1947 version. It’s great in black and white, but they now have a color version which I think is fun!

While I do love the 2019 version as well, the 1994 version seems so much more Christmas-y to me.

Such a classic! Because of this movie my little brother went through an extensive phase of creating booby traps around the house. Can’t wait for my son to be able to comprehend this one!

For all the non-believers out there. There’s also a 2nd and 3rd movie, but I’m a purist here.

Probably the only Christmas movie I can get my husband to watch!

Honorable Mention:

Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas
The Polar Express
Love Actually
The Holiday

Movies I’m sure many of you love but are not on my annual watch list:

A Christmas Story
It’s a Wonderful Life
Die Hard
